My new tube amp- Epi So-Cal 50
Posted By: Tyler, 02-07-2008, 04:52 PM

I got this amp a few weeks back to replace my older head. I reallllly love this thing. The variety of sounds I can get out this thing is amazing. It takes overdrive pedals really well as well, even on the clean channel. Flip it in to 25w mode and its Class-A too! Of course it weights a TON, but its worth it. Anyways, here are some shots I took probably 20 mins ago. K100D w/ A 50mm f2 or 18-55mm.

The setup shot. Pentax AF360 @ 1/16 power fired into my old macro studio type thing. Worked well to eliminate harsh shadows.

Time to Shred

I love that you have the Gain cranked way up on the amp . Let the the snarl of the Axe ring long and hard.

I was playing some Van Halen today and that plus my MXR Distortion III gave me the tone I needed. Thanks!

Good photos of some cool equipment; black is hard to capture.

I see that the numbers don't go up to 11 though...

Snazzy shots... I could easily see 1 and 2 in a guitar or recording magazine.

Makes me miss playing an electric... I'm all acoustic these days...

Phew! Glad you picked up the Spinal Tap reference. My favourite Nigel Tuffnell moment.
