October 13th was supposed to be a quiet night for Aurora's but somebody forgot to tell the Aurora's. For about an hour and a half the sky was full of these dancing Northern Lights.

Just amazing! You are so lucky to have seen these and your photos really do portray their beauty and magic. Is that a shooting star in the second shot?

What a lucky person you are. These are outstanding images and I thank you for sharing them. Some of the best I have seen of the aurora.

I'm not sure if it's a shooting star or possibly a satellite. I'm leaning more towards a satellite because it's such a short trail for a 30s exposure and they move pretty slow.

Thank you all for the kind words. Shooting the lights is one of my favorite things to shoot and hopefully I'll get a few more chances before I move from the Northern region of Manitoba in the next few months.
