CC, after viewing EM's iris photo and now this one, I have a new appreciation of a flower I have never paid much attention to. Very pretty shot.

thanks for looking and your comments, it was overcast and very windy so had to use high ISO (800) to get high shutter speed plus fstop for DOF, ... cheers.

thank you Bob, Melbourne has been pretty windy for a few days and these seem to be getting knocked around quite a bit, was lucky to catch this one before it got to much damage.
cheers.

Absolutely Perfect! Gorgeous flower, great focus and colour. Thanks for sharing Cee Cee!! I just ripped out the garden's yellow and dead fronds and plants, and we had our first sprinkle of snow last night. Please keep on sharing your garden flowers

thank you for those kind words tess, I notice today that quite a few roses are out, soon the streets of Melbourne will be awash with roses, I'll have to go for a wander around the local streets ( with the camera of course).
