Some Divine Light
Posted By: Asad_Masede, 01-03-2007, 02:42 AM

Just happened upon this while on a walk.

No signs of much, just a lonely bench...

All of a sudden this sight:

I took a bunch of pictures of this, out of this I found these to be some of the good ones...

Even the critters are happy!

I just loved it... stayed there until it went away.

You guys can vote on favorite.

wow that looks fantastic, care to share some of the settings?

My favourite has to be the second one (the first one with the sun rays)

I love the 2nd shot the best. The sun ray was almost being dissected by the tree trunk!

these shots are truly fantastic. If I have to choose any I would have to choose your #2 first but I also love the last one of the squirrel. the use of back light and the way it plays on the scene are just magnificent.

Good Shooting.

Well done! I've always had trouble capturing this kind of light. Like you said - it's usually gone in a couple of minutes so you've got to get it right quickly. You certainly did.

Also like the squirrel but he gets a little lost with the big stump.

Thanks, Dan

I like all of these. Interesting the squirell hung around that long. I really like numbers 2 and 4. Catching the light like that is about being in the right place at the right time. Thanks for sharing

#2 does it for me. The soft rays of light peeking through and the green almost mossy looking grass. It has a very solitary feel to it...for me anyway but they're all beautiful really.

Nice rays! The light filtering through the squirrel's fur is sublime.

Nice critters, I mean photos!

My favorite is number 3. I'm not sure why, I guess it's the kind of photo I'd look for personally, but the last one of the squirrel is awesome. I can see why you'd just want to sit and wait for the light to vanish.

Great effects Asad. Torn between the 2nd and the squirrel. The soft rays does it. No 2. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Asad,
Congratulations on seriously good work.
I am beginning to expect nothing less from you my friend, you keep setting the bar higher on each of your walks.

I am going to hazard a guess here and say that these were shot with your 50mm.

All the best
PS: my vote goes to the Squirrel, that shot is almost alive and has so much feeling, I feel as though I'm right there watching it.
