OK... I'm not sure how this forum handles OPEN threads... ones anyone can post to...

But feel free to post any and all images here as long as two criteria are met:

1) You are using a Pentax camera body OR a Pentax lens
2) You are shooting at the maximum / widest open aperture for that lens

This thread is being started for Tess who had the idea in the first place. And for Nikola Tesla who was responsible for AC electricity versus Edison who insisted on DC.

Anyway, I was sitting around this afternoon without anything to do, and I saw Tess' post on open aperture, so I said to myself, "self: what is your widest aperture?" and the answer was my Pentax F50 1.4. So, I went outside and took four pictures at the widest aperture I have available.

Post yours please.

This first one is from some switchgrass we planted in a area beside our house that we couldn't keep drained off. So we planted a lot of switchgrass plugs.

This here's a late blumin' dandelion.

bark aside a maple tree in our yard

and some grass seed

So all were shot at f/1.4 with a Pentax FA 50 mm using a K-5 Pentax body.

Post yours here in this thread.... wide open..... YA BABY .. (for tess-la)
