We'll be fine, Bob--thank you. We live in an apartment, and the building is very solid. But if that crane comes down on one of the surrounding buildings, it's going to damage the top floor.

Stefan, I saw the news tonight from NY and they reported a crane had partially collapsed and there were evacuations, is this the same crane? Hope it didn't affect you.

No, it wasn't the same crane. We live in Arlington, VA (D.C. area). We had a blackout--amazingly, the crane withstood the winds. It was terrifying to watch it: it looked like a ship on stormy waters. Now everything's calm around here; not a lot of damage. Even if the eye of the storm was closer to D.C. than to NYC, in D.C. damages are comparatively minor, because the direction of the winds of land-to-water. North of the eye the direction was water-to-land, which caused all those floodings... The situation seems to be pretty terrible in parts of NY-New Jersey and Connecticut...

Well that is good Stefan, you have already had enough damage in DC due to the politicians.

I've been watching this crane on TV.

Thanks for sharing. Trust it all works out and nobody is hurt in the process.
