Birthday Cake
Posted By: Ash, 11-03-2012, 05:40 AM

Completely. Utterly. Astounded. My wife surprised me with a birthday cake I had no idea was coming and had to share it with the Pentaxian community. She made the base and had a pro create the top layer. Made my day. This quick shot by the iPhone cam, please excuse the IQ...

Happy birthday, Ash. What a brilliant cake. That is the first camera I have heard of that is meant to be eaten! Enjoy!

Thanks all. And now here are some images of it taken by a Pentax!
First, side by side with the real thing (though no 18-55 WR to go with it).

Don't know why, but these lenses got a little stuck trying to mount them on...

Lots of effort all round on this one. Even its weight was comparable with the real K-5:

An excellent rendering of a K-5 ... thanks for posting your entire DSLR - a "Dessert" SLR, that is to say ... J

For sale: K-5 in altered condition. Has limited modes, not including green mode. No lens eject button. SR is dubious. Kit lens is f/5.8 at 55mm (Limited edition WR version). Tried to take a photo with it but failed. Batteries might be to blame. Sale will go to the highest bidder. This sale is exempt from marketplace rules.

Oh yes, rear display doesn't work too well either. Some buttons have their labels worn out. Great for those already familiar with the original K-5. But be prepared to get used to some upgraded features from this one. First of its kind: K-5 MkIII prototype.
