Local council run firework display last night, cold but got one or two decent shots. I quite like the spotlight in this showing the crowd, but should I crop it out?

Personally I would keep it. I love the light shining through the crowd. Adds a great element of interest. I like the smaller burst on the far right too. Lots to look at here.

No. It adds context to the image. Nicely captured.

Nice Shot!

I'd leave it just the way it is...very unusual viewpoint showing the crowd. Nicely composed photo, great job!

I'd keep it. Did you use a tripod? If not I wish my hands were that steady.

I like it, it's different from most fireworks pictures and I would not crop it. Thanks for posting it.

Had to use a tripod, the exposure was over 5 seconds.

Yet another vote (well, it is election day here in the States) for keeping it as is -- I think it loses impact if you crop the spotlight out. Ditto to the above comments that including the crowd as you have done makes this really stand out from the usual fireworks shot.

Great photo! BTW, I would keep the spot light too.

beautiful shot. I agreee with majority of the post here, to leave it as it is on the spot light.

Very cool shot. I really think the spotlight adds to the composition, as if it's a counterpoint to the fireworks. I also like the little bit of fireworks popping off in the distance on the lower right. Perfect exposure. Well done!
