I have been photographing a few years, but the K-5 IIs is my first Pentax. For my first landscape shoot I went to one of my favorite spots at Half Moon Beach, Gloucester, Mass. All shots with the 17-70 f4, tripod mounted and MLU. Captured as DNG processed in Aperture

Very nice....very sharp. It appears to be true about the sharpness of the 11s.

Very nice shots... The K-5 excels at this kind of shot. It's where that Dynamic Range that so many guys say "that's not important to me " about, really comes into play. You've made good use of it.

I agree completely on the dynamic range. It's always been a key specification for me and the K-5 handles DR exceptionally well.
