The Landscape Painter
Lens: Industar 61 50/2.8 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Hemmen, NL
Posted By: Rense, 11-11-2012, 09:17 AM

Found today, in the nearby Castle Park

Got the last two in B&W too on my Flickr stream, but I liked the colour ones better....
And I saw quite some compression artefacts in the first one, but I hope it's not too bad at this size

That first one is so artistic... just exceptional! I love the series, but the first is very very strong with a ton of impact (for me)...

The B&W conversion is so good -- by emphasizing the yellow channel you have put the painter into his own little world of light. And you've caught him at an intensely focused moment. And the color shots are nice too.

Yep, I vote for the 1st one too as it looks like you might have taken it years ago with a Leica (IIIf ?), On the other hand the color images are present day and the last one is a classic!
