North Wales, Snowdonia National Park today
Posted By: simonkit, 11-11-2012, 12:39 PM

Fortunately the weather turned out better than expected this morning so I managed a couple of sunrise photographs at Llyn Crafnant. I always went to Fairy Glen near Betws Y Coed and gave my Lee 10 stop it's first outing.

Absolutely exquisite! I must get out of the woods and head to the lakes and ridges. These are truly extraordinary!

Thanks everyone, very generous comments, much appreciated...I'm lucky to live in an area of the Uk where the landscape does make things easier to capture good landscapes

Thanks...the last shot owes much to the abilities of the K5 as I deliberately underexposed the shot by 4 stops to preserve the highlights...I knew well that the excellent noise handling of the K5 would make it easy to pull back that shadow detail with no noise,

Awesome shots. I love the Fairy Glen photo as it's a great treasure that's easy to miss. Also, it's referenced in the Knight of the Word books by Terry Brooks.

Stunning indeed. Would have loved to see them without the watermarks. Adding Wales to the must-go-places-before-I-die // Nick
