Dew Drop Rose

Ya, ya.....another Red Rose! I couldn't resist this one! Was walking past and the sun caught a dew drop on a rose petal! Well, who could resist that? We had a freeze last night so there was plenty of frost!

Here's she is, probably one of the last roses of the season!

Took this to show how the whole deal looked! No post processing.

Very beautiful Will! I am glad you couldn't resist and thanks for sharing. The red is so lush and the textures so subtle I can almost feel the soft petals. Beautiful work!

You don't do too bad yourself! Some of your photos are damn good!

What really got me was seeing that droplet of water! It has just a little twinkle! Ah well, small pleasures! If you click on the photo and go to flickr and blow up the photo actually looking inside that little droplet of water! Fun! I tried to get the droplet of water in perfect focus, which is easy with the KatzEye prism, then just let the center of the rose fend for itself! Also, with that particular lens and the K-5, I have discovered that it's needs to be stopped down a touch.

tessfully and AussieTrev tnx for taking a peek! It was fun to shot and sorta made my morning! I do enjoy shooting with that lens. I've had it so long it's like an old friend I seldom visit! Great chunk of glass.......

It is nice to live in a climate where you can enjoy your flowers later in the year. Nice job on the reds as everyone has said.

During July and August I really cuss living here! Hot, dry and too far from town, but overall it's not so bad! There's good and bad about any place, you know that from your travels! I could do with a bit more water!
