Sunset Walk by the River Part 1
Lens: various Camera: K-5 Photo Location: South Algonquin, ON
Posted By: tessfully, 11-18-2012, 02:13 PM

Saturday is football day so off I went to the river hoping for a nice sunset. I took many photos so I thought I would break them into two parts. This part is about the rocks, plants and pond. And part 2 will be just about the wild river water.

Reverse timing...I was on my way home, the sun was well down and it was so dark I had to manual focus the lens. I just love how these first few turned out!

A bit earlier in the evening... still with the Tamron

Lovely series, my favorites being the second one and the last one. I've taken my share of shots of beech leaves in winter too, but have never come up with anything like this.

Very nice series , The first two whispy flowers are superbly detailed and of course the reflected rocks, a favourite theme.

Thank you Jim! I went out specifically to shoot the rushing water, but ended up with many other subjects as well.

Thanks fotogaffer and you are welcome The pond reflections shot was a fun image for me... I loved the colour of the near dark sky in the water, and like the Beech leaves, I can never resist shooting rock reflections either.

Thank you Bruce... those rock reflections really spoke to me and I worked on that image for a while trying to highlight the parts of the image that drew me in... I am glad you liked it

Sometimes I just hate you and swear to myself I will not make myself jealous anymore by looking at your images. I still get sucked in every time then I just hate myself instead. These are really wonderful Tess. The first one was my favorite until I came to the beech leaves. They are so filmy and whimsical looking and the background is glorious.
