Great work!!
Hi Gasbro,
I did not see this comment. I am sorry! This image was actually part of my submission for a photo contest by the lighting company westcott, and while it was shortlisted (some 25 out of 600 images, i think), I lost the finals
.
The lighting itself was problematic - A light was set up model's right(back) and front, however there was no light set up to separate the model from the background. In fact, the front light spilled to the back, making the black background grey.
If i had been setting up the light, I would have made sure the lights does not spill to the background by either setting up flags, or distancing the model from the background, or setting the light higher up.
It was countless hours of editing to create this final image, lots of dodging and burning to pop her out, if you will, something that could have been done if she has been lighted properly.
The real story was, westcott sets up photobooth for these contests, and this particular model was taking a break and covering for a different model outside her own booth. I believe the other model was not wearing black...so she would have been perfect in that setting.
Thanks for the comments
