Bye Bye Aphids!
Lens: Pentax M 50mm f/1.4 & Vivitar 2x Macro Teleconverter & Extension Tubes Camera: Pentax k-r Photo Location: Mission, B.C. ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F11

Today I discovered a ladybug crawling around outside, so I decided to recruit her to help with the aphids. Of course, I also grabbed my camera to chronicle the hunt. It took the ladybug about a half a second to lock on to an aphid, grab it in its jaws, and proceed to devour it. I don't know about you, but I've always thought that ladybugs were these cute harmless little bugs, but watching it tear into these aphids really made me see them in a whole new light. It made me really glad I'm not 1mm tall!

Thanks Marcus. The second image is cropped, all the others are uncropped. I'm not exactly sure how much magnification I'm getting with this setup, but it's definitely past 1:1
