I like the second one. I feel that such a scene should be a little dark, as my eye can see the sun in the back and all the trees, and infers that it should be darker than #1. But it's all a matter of taste, both are nice!

The first one has a touch more light. A small question. Are they level. I get a sense of a tilt to the right, maybe my eye though?
