The clouds were looking okay with the reflected light. Unfortunately I don't think I got the focus right in most of them. This is the best.

Clouds won't be in focus with long exposures - that's what's appealing about these images - more creative using motion blur.
Cairns looks so big and busy.

As Ash said, slow exposure and cloud movement means a slight blurring but that does not detract from the shot.

Thanks guys. It was the lights of the city I wasn't happy with on the cloud shots. Maybe I am a bit over critical again.
