It's been a while since I posted anything since I go on a photo trip every year and always come back with tons of photos then take a rest preparing for the next trip. Anyways, here's some from my trip to the Rockies, blessed by beautiful weather the whole time i was there and truly one of the best places ever on Earth for photography.

Emerald Lake sunset

Pilot Pond

Sawback Burns

Road to the Rockies

Herbert Lake twilight

Vermillion Lake Twilight

Lake O'Hara

Lake McArthur

Thanks guys for the kind comments. I selected medium from flickr and it's smaller than I thought. At least it doesn't take up too much space on the thread. Should probably split into several posts since there's a LOT of nice images from Canada:P

The composition is excellent, but I feel the colours are overdone. The look is unnatural. My two cents.

Wow, I love the vibrant colours, clarity, compositions... I can't say enough about the compositions. Excellent Iconic Canadian shots. I can see how much care and work you put into both shooting and post processing. Thank you so much for sharing.

By the way, if I click on the image it opens large... Wonderful views!!!!!!!

Spent a lot of time trying to pick a favorite and gave it up. Clicking on each to make them larger is worth it. Those are some really wonderful reflections you have captured and the framing is so perfect. Can't wait to see more.

I know some of them probably are a little over-saturated but they are HDRs and I tried to make them have a surreal and painterly look while making it look as realistic as possible. But they are certainly close to what I see in real life, certainly not what the camera sees though due to the huge dynamic range!

Thank you! Yes I did spend a lot of time post processing them and it's totally worth it. I have a hard time choosing my own favorite as well! But I really like how Emerald lake and Lake O'hara turned out, those places are just so picture perfect that it's hard to trying to decide on a composition!

Know most of those places well - you have captured them beautifully. Outstanding work.

Very beautiful series.

Have you tried desaturating the yellow to see if the greens (eg. trees) tone down a little?

Nonetheless, very dramatic and punchy shots.

Thanks everyone! I usually desaturate blues from HDRs since they're too blue, but I prefer saturated greens and yellows, just my taste I guess.
