Not really black and white - grays and white. A bit too flat for my tastes, but what do I know?
Nice composition.
Thanks for sharing.

Like the image though the empty space on the left is a little to much. Maybe a crop? JIM

hi!
Normally I also like real blacks and whites more, but for this picture, I Thought a little bit softer tones would be nicer.
I will take another look in LR to see if I think different about that now.

I do like the soft feel of this and hope you don't change it... I actually love everything about it including the empty space. A beautiful image, as others have said, sublime!

I have to agree with Tess on this one. It is just perfect the way it is. I am rather partial to some dead space in an image if it works and it does here (IMHO). The soft muted grays suit the subject perfectly. Hang it on the wall.

Thanks a lot guys!
I also was a bit sceptical about the "dead space"
But when I tried to crop it, it didn't look as in balance as it is now.
Mighty power of the rule of thirds??? hahaha

The grey colors are beautiful and subtle. It makes for an interesting and unusual composition for a tulip. Most of the time you see them in color.

I like it. Maybe more free space at the top would help, I feel the flower head is too near the top.

I love empty space. Or negative space. Or whatever.
