Awesome Dave. Thanks for the cheering up. I'm trying to get my living space ready that way. This year is the first year I'll have my own Christmas tree and the frist after many years of feeling like it's Christmas. Thanks for sharing your house and decorations with me.

Three weeks from tomorrow... I'll be unwrapping my new K-5! Hopefully I'll get some good shots of the apocalypse (should be some great photo ops--fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes. The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice. Dogs and cats living together. Mass hysteria!).

Man, you're getting me in the Christmas spirit. The secular part of our celebration starts on Saturday at the marina party and spills over into the boat parade! Great Christmas weather (for boaters); highs near 80 (F) are predicted, so the parade - which occurs at night of course - should be manageable with a mere sweatshirt.

Just incredible! Wowzers! Joy to the World!! Dave, tell your wife I have never seen such tasteful and beautiful interior Christmas decorating ... I can't wait!!! Heading to my son's place in Niagara Falls in 15 days.

How many of us are getting camera and/or camera gear for Christmas?

Thanks Bob we do and it's mostly dedicated to Christmas storage - and with no kids to help lug all those totes up and down the stairs it was quite a workout for me this year (and will be again in January ) but oh so worth it.

Congrats you will love it. I see what side of the fence you are on with the Mayan prediction.

Thanks Tess - I did tell my wife and she appreciates it. Don't think I will get any camera gear this year - although I am hoping my DA* 16-50 is back from repair in time so I guess that will my photography toy.
