BNSF manifest heading south, towards Galveston, along the Lampasas Sub. Fourth engine looked like one of the very ratty ex-ATSF SD45-2s!

Very nice. The UP goes through our town about 10 times a day. I will have to venture down when my camera arrives.

There's something about B&W that works really well with train photos. That first one is brilliant; I like the second too but I guess it needs a bit of PP done on the front of the engine to be really outstanding. I'd maybe darken the smoke a tad too, to fill in the sky a bit. Good work as is, though.

Thanks. The first really is the best, what with the cement dust trailing off to the left and all. This little town just happens to be about 60 miles from my house, in central Texas. As to the B&W look, I did add a little sepia tone to it...
