That is too funny. I always wonder what those little old ladies carried around in their enormous hand bags. (obviously more than just coupons and stolen sugar packages)

It is good to see another fan of old glass. I love the build quality that went into lenses in the 70's & 80's. They all pull their weight and are most capable in capturing decent images.

Nice shot. Focus is off just a bit (slightly in front of the bird I think) but the lens is a great performer and not bad for a first try! Gotta love that old glass

After seeing these results I think I'll pull my 135 out and start feeding (baiting) the birds. It's weird this year, I haven't seen that many birds on the back deck. I always have food out for them but this year they just seem scarce. (now squirrels I have in abundance) but it's hard to get them to stand still. Every time I open the door they run for the hills. (maybe I should use the camera instead of the shotgun HMMMMMM) !#%**$!*^ squirrels.

really nice shot, great color, great capture.

He's a cute little guy isn't he. Nice shot, but as Peter said the focus looks forward just a bit, but it doesn't ruin the shot for me. I bought an old clunky Super Tak 135mm f3.5 a few months ago and strangely enough it's become one of my favorites. It wasn't a focal length I thought I would like. But the sharpness of the lens and boke are quite nice!

Nice. the M135mm is really a great lens and fun to use. I have one in the mail I recently purchased.
I had one recently but it was not in good condition.
Great shot for a 135; most would be using 300 or 400 lens, for a shot like that.
Well done!

Thanks All, and spot on with your observations. Zoomed in on the downloaded photo and found it a little out of focus (but pleasing enough to upload). Is good to be in the company of those that can, and are free to, steer. Will have to review the K100D settings, only lets me click when it thinks the focus is there (i set the focal length to 135mm - should it be 200mm?), and also get a better feel for the DOF:Aperture on this lens.
Thanks again, am certainly going to keep a look out for more manual glass (oh, signs of...)
