Our daytrip continues, having visited the Goldwell open air art museum and the ghost town of Rhyolite Nevada, we continue up the road to take the 27 mile dirt road trip through Titus Canyon. After reaching the top of Red Pass, el. 5200', the road drops down into the canyon and then into Death Valley where the elevation is below sea level. 4X4 is recommended but the road was in good condition and most vehicles shouldn't have a problem. Contact the DV parks division and make sure the road is passable, not many people travel this area in off season. Here is a short video describing the area and trip. I was happy that we got some great light in Titus which shows the steep canyon walls.
