The redpolls are back
Lens: 55-300 Camera: K 5 Photo Location: Alberta, Cananda
Posted By: Heinrich Lohmann, 12-13-2012, 04:07 PM

A few days ago the redpolls were back in the backyard, by the hundreds it seemed. Yesterday afternoon I went and took a few shots because they leave as they come without notice..

and a lone house finch

Comments are always welcome and appreciated.

BTW, has anyone found an exif reader that works with windows 8?

I have no idea why the first and last image won't show, I'll try again here:

I guess not, if anyone is interested they are here on the last two lines: In our backyard 2012 Photo Gallery by Heinrich Lohmann at pbase.com

How do I make this link shorter?

Hi Bob and thank you, there are many bird species that overwinter here and yes it does amaze me how they survive sometimes -40 C and colder.

Take care

Hi Dave and thank you. As a rule I wait until after service pack 1 to upgrade Windows but we got such a good deal that went for it. I came close to reinstall windows 7 a couple of times.

Take care,
