Superb treatment of a great action shot. I don't really know there's a single element that could be improved upon -- so you won't learn much from my post!

Really nice and well caught. Im not sure how you do that kind of proscessing so maybe you can teach me!!

I guess you will be watchin the 6 nations. Ireland are doin ok, Scotland, well im not going to talk about that

Oh, and that ball looks almost as big as he is

Oh I agree with the others... that is the reason we buy these darn cameras... And you did a great job capturing that moment... It dont get any better IMHO...

That shot brings back memories for me. I played the sport for 8 years (Winger #14), great sport. I love the de-saturation of the back ground. It makes the player pop and come alive. I am not sure if you nudged the HUE in this shot as my office computer tends to be a bit on the dark side. Good capture. The only thing that would make this shot better IMHO is the position of the players left arm. The longer you look at it the more odd it seems to become. If the arm was more at the side, or in the forward swing it might come across better. I use burst mode a lot for sports just for this very reason. It provides / captures several options per photo opportunity). I submit photos in some of the local papers and they hammered me on these type of things. I tagged along with one of their photographers and he taught me some neat tricks and gave me the condensed "rag photographer" crash course.
