This was shot for my final project in my lighting class yesterday. It took forever to set-up the lights! Whew! Glad that was over with. I received 140 out of 150 points for the project, deduction came off primarily due to the fact that I forgot to shoot a documentation photo of my set-up! My teacher went easy on me for that one, thank god. Shot in my school's studio.
Hairlight and background light is 2 to 1 ratio from main light at f8.0. Shot main light at f11. Used background light on left side brighter to compensate for darkness of broad side of face. Shot as short lighting style, least visible side of face is brighten with main light. darker side of face is at f5.6, so 4-1 ratio.
The lighting equipment used were my school's. 3 Norman ML600, Pocket Wizard, Sekonic light meter, 1 softbox, 2 reflectors, 1 white fill card, studio light stands, pink muslin backdrop.
