An old friend and and Pentax owner once told me "Every landscape photographer should have three things in his kit, a chainsaw, an angle grinder and a set of bolt-cutters"

Yes, things get in the way, but where's the 2nd photo from the other side of that pole looking down the length of the bridge?.....

Did not have one, I actually took this photo riding in the truck and with the window rolled up amazingly.

Hello Chris,
What you did in the truck (and this photo) is called "Scouting" locations.
Now, you've found a promising scenic location. You have the photo to remind you.
So, you go back on a nice, sunny, bright-blue-sky day...maybe early morning or late afternoon, when the light is better. You bring a polarizer for whatever lenses you have, a tripod and cable release. All your wide/angle and medium lenses.
Find a way to get on or past the bridge, walk all around, looking through the viewfinder at every stop. Take photos whenever you find a good view, look at each background, find an angle of view where the view is "clean". Bracket each different view. Try zooming to frame, ND filter, different lenses.
You're making photographs, not taking snapshots. Overcoming obstacles is part of the job. If it was easy, convenient and comfortable, anyone could do it.
Anyhow, that's my advice!
Ron
