Need your opinion, please

These are shots of my father-in-law. He is a WW II vet who landed at Normandy on D-Day. My wife went to the WW II memorial in Washington D.C. last year and I am making this for her, but I'd like your opinions on which one to pursue. One is just a straight shadow, while the other has a "ghost" of a soldier in the shadow. Neither one is done, but I'd like to know which one to spend the time on. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I Agree!

Hello Kyricom,
Interesting idea, I like the first one better, also. It honors the soldier, while the 2nd one seems too spooky.

Ron

Good concept, nicely executed in #1. I agree with the above comment. A little more micro contrast will help to bring out more detail in his face for a more dramatic effect also.

I also prefer the first image. I do think the "shadow" is too dark for the apparently hazy light on your father-in-law and on the wall.

I like the first one, the 2nd would only work, in my opinion, if the ghost photo is of your father-in-law.

I think the detailed shadow draws the eye away from your F-i-L.
