I shot these photos myself when I had my old K-7 before it was replaced with my K-5. Does anybody know where these were taken? As in do you recognize the area? It was shot somewhere between Minnesota and Wisconson 2 - 2 1/2 years ago, on a river or lake area that is. The photo of the ship is supposed to be a replicate of some ship I can't even think of right now. Was it the Mayflower? I can't believe I forgot! But it'd be great if someone knew, thanks! That bridge in the background combined with the registration on the one boat to Afton, MN makes me think it has to be somewhere just above or below the US12/I-94 river crossing at Lake St. Croix on the Minnesota/Wisconsin border.

I was thinking of St Croix River/Lake also. To give a more hint on what I remember, A LOT of college kids go to this area during break from school because of the bars nearby also.

Found 'em on Flickr's map. They're off Walnut Street on the Wisconsin side of the river north of the bridge in the town of Hudson. Walnut Street is the big jetty sticking out into the water there.
