My Grandmother

The photo of herself she's holding is at least 60 years old.

An exceptional shot, in my view, Chris. Both thoughtful and thought provoking. The B&W conversion also is techincally quite good.

Again, what a great image - it speaks volumes.

I miss my grandmother too - I was saying the same words to my mom just a couple of days ago.

Chris, as Jer said, "thought-provoking". If only you could capture her thoughts as she looked at that photograph.

Well done.

Thanks for sharing. Such a fantastic photo - and the use of b and w is perfect here! Add me to the list of posters who miss their grandmothers. A+ work.

Thanks everyone! I knew the second I shot this that it should be converted to B&W.

It's funny... I enjoy the process of shooting with a rangefinder more than an SLR but most of my best results come from my DSLR.

Amazing photo! My grandmother loves looking at and showing her old photos to her grandkids. I'll have to try and copy this!

Great shot, I lost my Grandma just about one year ago......I cherish the few shots I took of her during our last Thanksgiving together.

She was ~86 years old, had lost most of her mind, but could still play Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue"

egordon99 - that's a great shot, you can see the concentration in your grandma's face.

My Grandma is losing her mind to Alzheimers. I find myself taking more and more pictures of her every time I see her.

Again, thanks everyone.
