Canyon with DA 18-270mm
Lens: DA 18-270mm Camera: K-5

As long as you're not planning making prints, and apply the appropriate PP, this lens is actually capable of some really good photos! Here's one of the many samples that I took for the PF review.

The forum is now running the latest version of exiftool, and the lens ID still isn't there- I hope they add it soon!

Adam, did you do any PP at all on this? I've noticed that some versions of PS Elements (the ones I have, anyhow) strip the lens ID out of the EXIF. The data is there in the file straight OOC, but once the image has been modified in any way and saved, the lens ID is gone.

Great capture, BTW. The little cars definitely communicate the scale of the scene.

Wow, Adam, you are killing this lens with your praise.

I'd say that people who want super-zooms will probably be happy with the quality they get from it.

Good work Adam.
I expect to have quite good IQ for a superzoom, seeing as though it's a rebranded Tamron lens (they really go make good optics).

The lens id is there, it seems: "Unknown (8 210)"

It's just that exiftool doesn't recognize it yet. I bet the next update will include lensid's for the 18-270mm. I'm going to contact the developer advising him of this just in case.
