A sharpness question...

I had a computer crash.... so I am using an old laptop with a funky screen and a different PP program.

I am trying to give a bump of sharpening to some resized for web pics, but I am having a hard time judging if it is too much or not.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Second is a bit oversharpened imho.

It is my new / old vivitar 105 that I got from wildherre... It is pretty sharp, but the program I am using on this old computer softens a lot in resizing to web size. So I wanted to bump the resized shot a bit. But it only has 1 setting to bump.

Gus, to me the first one looks spot on!! Second one seems just a bit too much - plus I think it would look better on the bottom of my shoe!!
