Close encounter with a Cormorant!
Lens: F* 250-600mm Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Bucks, England ISO: 1000 Shutter Speed: 1/1000s Aperture: F8

Today I got unexpectedly close to a Cormorant which is a bird I've been trying to get good shots of for a couple of years now, but just could never get close enough!

Many thanks for the kind words!

Whilst the 600mm definately helps with getting subjects bigger in the frame, having your subject around 15 feet away definately helps!
