We are having a real winter this year, lots of snow and quite cold. Here are some shots from around the yard over the last few days. These are all taken without my trusty tripod.

The first bunch with my Christmas present the Tamron 17 - 50mm f/2.8

I like the lens as it allows me focus quite close...





A couple of shots with my 'new' F lens Pentax 70 - 210 which continues to impress me...

Absolutely wonderful photos Tess! I love looking at snow but don't enjoy being in it any more! I admire your grit to get out there and shoot pictures! Thanks!

Love the snow!! I'm so glad you got the 17-50, Tess! It's a lens I always wanted, but I doubt I'll get it now that I have the 18-135. Still, I always like seeing the great images it produces! I just love the sharpness of these. Wonderful snowy doggy face and the icicle shot is grand!! A wonderful series.

Wonderful images. Thank you for sharing. I especially enjoyed the ones you took with your new Tamron 17-50 mm because I also just received this lens, and have just started trying it out. I will try some snow images as well, but you have established a high standard to try to meet.
