My set up ? Not sure what you mean. Always carry a tripod, extra batteries (the cold really drains them), I usually expose on the sky or some bright snow then take a shot and then adjust accordingly. A CPL or ND or both filters are essential as well. As for preparing yourself, dress in layers , we have mittens that you can expose your fingers (to take the shot) good boots, hand and toe warmers.

Thanks bdparker - it was not bitterly cold (it's what you are use to). It can be , in fact it can be cold enough up there we would not have gone, but we got pretty lucky with the weather overall.
