Here's my daughter who does not have the 'insulation' I have so she is bundling up before we head up to higher elevations.

ahah we were there early enough not a lot of cars - in the last shot you can see where cars will park. The rest are creative crops.

So very beautiful!!!!
Give us a clue to your set-up in cold temps!
Here in Florida we never shoot in those conditions!
Great shots!

I would love to pull the motorhome into that parking lot and spend a couple of weeks. With views like that, I wouldn't even need to take a hike, just take photos out of the windows. Beautiful series.

Thanks Lauren - well we don't have an ocean sunsets or sunrises here My set up ? Not sure what you mean. Always carry a tripod, extra batteries (the cold really drains them), I usually expose on the sky or some bright snow then take a shot and then adjust accordingly. A CPL or ND or both filters are essential as well. As for preparing yourself, dress in layers , we have mittens that you can expose your fingers (to take the shot) good boots, hand and toe warmers.

Thanks bdparker - it was not bitterly cold (it's what you are use to). It can be , in fact it can be cold enough up there we would not have gone, but we got pretty lucky with the weather overall.

Dang - when I pull into a parking lot around here, all I see is Walmart or a mall. Super job, bud.
