Brother Bob, this is great. Just look at all the variations in tone, light and shadow. A great photo to "explore" from one side to the other.

the area is quite unique Charlie and should at least be visited once, come on out before the weather gets hot.

very much so Kyle, sort of like the Grand Canyon, but this is much easier to photograph.

thanks, the highest temperature on Earth was recorded here in Death Valley, 134 degrees F., now that is hot.
