Giga Pixel Photo of Perth
Lens: Pentax*A 645 300mm f4 Camera: K5 ISO: 80

As you can appreciate photos this size are rather large and not every site minds you uploading them So both of these photos are currently up on GigaPan They also have the viewers for such big images.

Taken with the K5 with a Pentax*A 645 300mm, wasn't the best day due to smoke haze etc, but I'm happy with the end results.

The first shot is a heavily cropped and scaled down so I can get it on flick, the original is 990MP, this cropped version is 250MP which is enough make out some of the offices.

The gigapan link GigaPan: Perth City Sunset

The 2nd is 2.15 Gigapixels, but no smaller version.
GigaPan: Perth City

I've walked around the house seeing if I have any room on the walls (maybe I'll take a few of my boys down )

Cool! How many frames did it take? What did you use to merge them?

the first one is around 60 and the 2nd is 288.

I tried a few programs and the only one that seem to work was the gigapan software (I downloaded the 14 day trial). I'v used PTgui with very good results including 50 shots out of the 645D, but with these two it just couldn't get it right. Talking about the 645D, I was trying to rent one out for these shots, but the money is a bit short this time of year.

Well done, Pete.
Nice tonal range despite the relatively low contrast scene.
Good result.
