Sunart - the wild Scottish westcoast
Lens: several Camera: Rollei 6008 Photo Location: Sunart, Scotland ISO: 50
Posted By: wpvv, 01-06-2013, 11:12 AM

A few of the photographs I took last Summer in Sunart, a Scottish peninsula. I especially liked the lichen and fern packed oak woods and the wooded shores.
The full portfolio is here: Sunart

Edinburgh is a nice city; in case you prefer something smaller I can recommend Stirling.
Skye is the best Scotland has to offer. I would combine it with the west coast from Skye / Kyle of Lochalsh north to Applecross, Shieldaig and Torridon.

On my site I have too many pictures of these areas...

Another tip - take some small roads just to one or two small places and back away from the main roads. Like Elgol on Skye, or Diabaig in Torridon. Stunning views and only few touriste. For photography the 1:50.000 Ordnance Survey maps are very useful.
