I'm getting some really useful feedback from my "series threads" so here's another one, probably the last for now. This time all the photographs are taken around Llangollen.

Both places which have wonderful scenery, the west coast of Scotland is breathtaking in places

I have been in Wales twice in 1977 when I was four (mainly remember the white beans for breakfest) and in 2002, on our way to Ireland. Never saw more than a 100 meters at a time - the weather was more than inclement... I have some badly scanned pictures here: Wales 2002

Been to Scotland very often, almost 20 times now. It is wonderful for landscape photography (and many other things).

I guess as most visitors to the UK know the weather is rather unpredictable so whichever part you visit there's a chance of seeing all 4 seasons in the same week, having said that without it we wouldn't have the wonderful scenery we have across the country

That is so true - even if the weather isn't exactly 'nice' it is most often 'beautiful'. And it keeps the country green...
