Cow Grazing Field
Posted By: Tyler, 02-19-2008, 12:08 PM

Let me know what you think. This was shot just down the road by my house and was one of the first images I produced with my K100D. I was just digging through old photos today and found this one.

The cow was moved from the center to its present position in PS. I also cloned out a stray OOF branch in the foreground.

An interesting composition Tyler. The cow exiting the frame provides a sense of 'task complete'.

Great colours. To me the cow is a little too close to the side, not much, but a little.

I have to ask. Is the sky from another shot or as is. It looks real almost to real. Great catch I like it.

"I am Cow"
(A great song done by 'The Arrogant Worms')

I am cow, hear me moo
I weigh twice as much as you
And I look good on the barbecue
Yogurt, curd, cream cheese and butters
Made from liquid from my udders
I am cow, I am cow, hear me moo (moo)

I am cow, eating grass
Methane gas comes out my ass
And out my muzzle when I belch
Oh, the ozone layer is thinner
From the outcome of my dinner
I am cow, I am cow, Ive got gas

I am cow, here I stand
Far and wide upon this land
And I am living everywhere
From b.c. to newfoundland
You can squeeze my teats by hand
I am cow, I am cow, I am cow
I am cow, I am cow, I am cow!

A video with the band performing this ditty is here!

I saw it in your flickr account. A great shot. The lighting is just right for the warm sunday afternoon feel filled with harmony.

I like the positioning. It is what makes it a photograph instead of just a picture of a cow.

alright, I'm going to be the one to go against the grain.

I like the picture. But, I think this would be better with a landscape aspect. You had the right idea getting the cow out of the center, but I think the portrait aspect makes this feel a bit cramped.

Also, that sky is awesome. You should show more of it.
