Tiburon Marina

San Francisco Bay as seen looking south from Tiburon, in Marin County (the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge). That's the San Francisco skyline in the distance.

Very bright and interesting lighting and reflections in the water. Great sunset colours just above the horizon. The upper sky looks a little bit flat in comparison. I would be tempted to crop it at mast height

Thanks Bruce. I think that's good advice and I made the edit and replaced the original in this thread.

Jim would you crop even more off than this?

Agree, it's a nice shot, and I'd crop it. My perspective is that the HDR is quite over-cooked though.

I would crop right to the top of the masks in on the sailboat Jerry taking out all the blue in the sky but that's me. I tend to agree you may have pushed this one a little to far but its all about what you like in the end. JIM

I think you guys are right. The shot I posted was from about a year ago when I first started with HDR. I redid the picture with milder processing and much prefer this result (below). When I compare the two side by side I think the original looks way too hot. Thanks for the input!

Love the latest version with HDR toned down and cropped as suggested. Nicely done.

Thanks everyone for the input. I'm not sure if I prefer #2 or the other version I posted in a separate post. I like both far more then the first version above.

Yes - link to second image appears to be inoperable at the moment. At least for me at any rate. Any chance we could have a new link posted Jerry?

I have no idea what happened, but the second post, now missing, is gone from my flickr account and gone from my computer as well. It's history. But here's a third take I made on it, also posted in a separate thread. Thanks for looking... or trying to!
