Pentax 18-250mm... Kitty in low light

Wanted to see "just how badly" my new lens would be in low light... as the lighting in our house is not the best. I just snapped these in my den that is VERY dim and I can't complain!

Model: PENTAX K100D, ISO: 1600, Exposure: 1/8 sec, Aperture: f/4.5, Focal Length: 33mm

Obviously if I were doing anything "serious," (lol... not that I ever do

) I would use my 50mm 1.4 in low light.

So... of COURSE I had to pop on the 50mm, just to see the difference

I didn't change anything but the lens. ....and the cat moved a little.

How do you like the lens after a few shots. Later this year I'm considering it.

I like it VERY MUCH! It is not too heavy, shots are nice and crisp, and it has a nice long range. I have a feeling once spring arrives, it will never leave the camera. (Right now since we are indoors all the time, my 50mm 1.4 lives on the camera

)

Both those images are sharp and colourful. That's a great lens Colleen and a very nice looking cat.
