Abstract Girl and A Tree.

Could someone tell me what they think the smudge is that appears around the girl? The clarity is at 0 and no HDR was done for this photo, so I'm a little confused. I would have posted on photocritique but I don't want to flood the front page with more than one of my submissions. Thanks!

I simply can't believe this striking and evocative photo has received only one comment. I think this is a marvelous composition - the curved tree matched by the forward-leaning woman . . . . . terrific. Regarding the smudge, I've also seen this in some of my B&W conversions; think (but don't absolutely know) that it can come from a combination of the red orange filter and a heavy hand on the contrast (BTW, I like a heavy hand on the contrast in B&Ws like your creative photo).

Thanks for the kind words! I actually fixed the mystery blob by punching up the highlights. I had dialed them back a little too far.
