B&W or color??? help
Posted By: Igilligan, 02-20-2008, 08:30 PM

I need some help here... I have a few of these to PP and I want to print 1 and give it to a friend... Do you all prefer one over the other. I have some shots from different angles so not all have the green back light... Just wondering if B&W wins here?

Thanks for the input.... Oh and Muddy Waters Jr...

No contest. B&W wins in a route. IMHO anyway.

That magenta lighting is all over him and it doesn't do him justice.
I like the black and white much better...
Nice conversion to B&W

In the right setting the color one would be spot on, like if it was made into a poster and hung in the house of blues or something. It shows great contrast of colors in the red and green as well. With that being sad, the B&W is also a winner.

Thanks everyone

The lighting guy had Neon Pink front wash gels in the lights and it was horrible on skin tones. It used to be that the headline band's soundguy controlled the sound mix on the opening acts to make sure they were not as loud or dynamic as the headliners. Now days it is also the lighting that is being limited on the opening acts. Muddy Waters Jr only got those magenta/neon pink lights. By the time the headliners came on it was a full on light show....

thank you for the B&W votes. It was how I was heading but there was a 'look' to the color that kinda worked.... maybe like Buddah Jones said the over the top color might work on a poster in a dark bar.

Thanks again

BW version works for me . But the final element is your friend's personal taste . Perhaps his collection of "art" works in his house will give you a better estimate on your part .

That is very helpful... I had not even considered that. Actually with that thought in mind the color may actually work in his entertainment room.

thank you
