I love the black back ground. Enhances the rose and the subdued detail is nice.

Nice! Lovely clarity as one would expect from the K5iis. Did you add the starbursts in PP?

Yes it was early morning light and the Rose was situated beneath the Frangipani Tree.

The shade plus a little manipulation of contrast and brightness got me the black background.

Yes, added a couple while processing. I use Pro Digital starburst plugins for Photoshop

Into the heat a little rains falls that's a good thing. Great light on this shot.
