The Bully on the block. My first hawk. · **1 Like**

Today was one of the coldest days in the Boston area in 2 yrs. (12 deg) and the small birds were feeding until this guy showed up and perched for 10 minutes chasing everyone away.

.I tripped over myself to get the camera and shot through the window from 60ft distance.I would have opened the window but he might have been spooked if I did.Ma. Audubon says that it is a juvenile Cooper's Hawk.--charliezap

Wonderful shots on the Cooper's Hawk.

I've enjoyed seeing one on occasion myself at my feeders stalking the songbirds but I always hope it won't take one of my bluebird pair that visits.

Great shots Charlie. I see red tails around here a lot, but can't get a good shot of them. I'm enjoying your bird photos with the Bigma, keep them coming.

Thanks all.I keep on looking out but he's a no show.At least the little birds are in abundance at the feeders.
