I think I like this one a tad better - the head seems crisper. Nice shot.

Oh, nice shot! The light is showing off the colours he has on his back. I had no idea they were this pretty!

Thanks very much, Tess. A couple of years ago, I came to believe that ANY bird under the right light is gorgeous. We just have to take the time to really look at them and SEE their beauty. Their behavior and habits might not be "nice" by human standards, but their beauty is always worth taking the time to look. Sometimes human behavior falls far short of the mark, too.
