I left work early today. Took a 3 hour hike up a mountain near Squire Lake Park, it is 3 miles south of Bellingham on Interstate 5. The weather was overcast and cool. Perfect weather for lugging my camera, tripod and lenses up a mountain. Worked up a good sweat. I'll be sleeping well tonight. On the east side is Mt. Baker and on the west side are the San Juan Islands in the distance and Interstate 5.

WOW, no snow in those lower regions! I've climbed in the Mt Baker area in July when there were lots of snowfields. Is it a dry year there Johnathan? Really nice photos, makes me wish I was there.

It has been a dry January. We had over a week of dry, cold weather. The rain returned last night and will stay with us for the next week.
