K100D - extraordinary low noise at 800ASA

Example of K100D with Tamron 18-200 Di lens at full stretch showing how good this little camera is.
f6.3 , 1/180th,800 ASA and end of zoom at 200mm.
Comments very welcome.

A resized image will always show less amount of noise. Post a link to the full size image.

Anyway I would say the noise ratio is normal.

Nice image, Garth. Virtually all modern cameras perform much better at higher ISO settings than the reviews lead many to believe. In reality, noise isn't a huge problem with most images. For the rest, a mild, not overdone, application of noise reduction software like Neat Image or Noise Ninja works wonders.

It does high ISO better than k10d
