More Birds at the Feeder
Lens: Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Greenville, SC

We're getting a bit of ice today so I made sure the feeders were full. I decided to test out the Sigma 70-200 I received yesterday and then switched to the Bigma to try and get a shot of a Red-Bellied Woodpecker in a tree nearby. Didn't get a shot of him but did get a variety of shots.

Thanks. It's getting a bit dark now but I saw a number of birds at the feeder as the temperature dropped.

This Eastern Bluebird was puffed up:

An Eastern Towhee on the ground under the feeder.

Along with a cardinal.

I rarely see bluebirds at the feeder. Today there were a dozen or so that visited.

A female waiting her turn.

Loved this argument:

I like the location of the feeder in the back yard since it provides branches for shots of birds perched and waiting.
This female cardinal sat for a while.

Finally had a Downy Woodpecker come when I set out a new suet feeder.

Another shot of a cardinal on the fence.

And the two birds together.

Before I left I saw this Carolina Chickadee perched in the chain links of the fence.
